This sales leadership position at AMI is responsible for profitable sales of AMI windows, siding, and metals products to Window World in the Northeast US. The Regional Direct Sales Manager (RDSM) is responsible for increasing market penetration and market share in the territory, building and managing customer relationships, and enhancing the customer experience by providing exceptional service, training, and support. The RDSM is also responsible for contributing to the overall development, strength, and performance of the AMI Direct Sales team.

Job Description

  • Meet or exceed company expectations for profitable growth in sales and gains in market share
  • Deliver a high quality of work respective to territory and customer relationship management, ensuring sufficient contact to continually strengthen the supplier-customer relationship
  • Deliver exceptional service to and support of existing customers including product feature/benefit training, competitor product training, marketing support, technical and installation support, and timely resolution of customer concerns/problems
  • DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve customers in the Northeast Region of the US with integrity (states of PA, NY, MD, NJ, CT, MA, NH, VT, and ME)
  • Take actions daily to educate, train, and increase customers knowledge of AMIs products, product capabilities, benefits, and advantages over the competition
  • Train customers on AMI technological support systems (product ordering system and Tech Center)
  • Actively engage and support as needed in timely problem resolution
  • Utilize technology to effectively communicate with the customers in the territory
  • Utilize technology to ensure effective customer contact
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrate excellence in delivering effective visual and verbal presentations
  • Maintain detailed data files by customer related to pricing and/or service commitments
  • Submit weekly report of sales growth activities in the territory to Regional VP Direct Sales
  • Continually strive to achieve a higher percentage of the customers overall spend in product categories manufactured and supplied by AMI
  • ???????KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal AMI support groups including Marketing, Customer Service/Warranty, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Product Management
  • Must be a contributing and supportive member of the AMI Direct Sales Team
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Window World Regional Manager counterparts
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of successful sales performance in the building materials industry successful track record in the sales of vinyl windows and exterior vinyl siding preferred
  • Demonstrated sales ability in expanding customer and market share
  • Demonstrated proficiency and success in building a sales territory
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Willing to travel up to 70% of the week
