The Team Lead works under the direct supervision of the Practice Supervisor and provides required support for physicians, nurse practitioners and clinical staff. The Team Lead demonstrates leadership skills in the clinical setting and assists with all duties related to patient care, taking a hands-on approach with regards to administering medication, dressing wounds and general patient care. The Team Lead also is responsible for communicating educational information to all clinical staff members in a timely and appropriate manner. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Team Lead all with greater than 5 years experience in ambulatory care). Assists with nursing schedules to ensure efficient flow of patient activity within the office setting. Mentors clinical staff new hires or delegates responsibility to appropriate clinical staff member. Assists Practice Supervisor in resolving clinical staff issues. Assists Practice Supervisor or Clinical Administrative Coordinator in evaluating clinical staff members. Resolves Pharmacy issues, including but not limited to, precerting any and all non-formulary drugs based on physician instructions. Maintains biohazard log of all chemicals within the practice. Maintains clinical staff records regarding education (ie. Point of Care Testing, OSHA training). Communicates/Educates clinical staff regarding relevant clinical issues, specifically relays the information gained at Clinical Forums. Covers for clinical staff in their absence. Performs the routine duties of her Clinical level (ie Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Medical Assistant). Oversees the ordering of clinical supplies, vaccines for the office.
Education and Experience: High school degree. 5 years ambulatory care experience. Current license in State of Pennsylvania (if RN/LPN). Certification required (if MA). Maintains current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification (CPR)
