Registered Nurse | Heart Failure Coordinator

A local hospital is looking for a Nurse to lead the Heart Failure Program. The Nurse must have Critical Care, Telemetry, Cath Lab or Cardiovascular experience with administrative documentation experience to lead the process of accreditation of the Cardiovascular program.

Everything has already been established, the Heart Failure program Coordinator would be in charge of keeping information up to date in order to be accredited on a yearly basis.The hospital is an accredited Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center which is in recognition to the highest standards in the country for heart failure and stroke care.

  • The Heart Failure Coordinator Nurse reports directly to the Nursing Quality Leadership Director. She has been there for quite some time and is clear in direction and down to earth.
  • The Nurse Quality Director will be there to support the Cardiovascular Coordinator nurse.
  • The responsibilities will be more administrative with documentation and quality metrics.
  • More involved with the data, although there is a component of education to the nurses and the physicians as well as rounding.
  • Accountable to maintain certificate status by coordinating with Joint Commission.

REQUIREMENTS:

REGISTERED NURSE | Heart Failure Coordinator

  • Current PA nursing license or ability to get PA nursing license
  • At least one year of RECENT TELEMETRY, PROGRESSIVE CARE UNIT, CRITICAL CARE or CATHETERIZATION LAB experience
  • Must have worked with Cardiac or Cardiovascular Patients
  • Required to have experience with an administrative role with paperwork documentation.
  • Must be detail orientated and interested in quality metrics.
  • DOES NOT NEED TO HAVE A BSN DEGREE!
